Here at Midway Motors, we had basketball fever in the month of March, as we were happy to see that both Kansas and Kansas State made it to the tournament. While the last set of games is this weekend and neither the Jayhawks or Wildcats are in it, we're still happy for the successful season. We have both KU and KSU fans here among our staff at Midway Motors, and hope you enjoyed the action as much as we did.

Though they ended their historic run of Big XII titles, the Jayhawks still were able to overcome departures and not having a full complement of players to rally to become a four seed and dispatch Northeastern before falling to Auburn, who is still in it. Dedric Lawson led the way and earned All-Big XII honors and we're hoping that he comes back for another year, but we're not going to be upset if he becomes another Jayhawk to hear his name taken in the NBA Draft. Things are looking bright if the team and Coach Bill Self can keep going into next season with momentum.

For Kansas State, it was a historic year becoming Big XII co-regular season champions while earning another tournament appearance under Bruce Weber. With the likes of Kamau Stokes and Barry Brown leading the way, the Wildcats unfortunately fell to an upset-minded team in UC Irvine. Things might have been different if Dean Wade could have played. Not getting as far as they did last year stings, but we're confident that things are looking bright for the Wildcats too.

We also want to give a special shout out to the Wichita State Shockers, who competed well in the NIT, reaching the semifinals.

There's going to be plenty of intrigue as we figure out who is declaring for the draft, which All-Americans are going to step on campus in the fall and make a difference, and so much more. Basketball season never sleeps in Kansas and here at Midway Motors, we're certainly always paying attention as fans!

Of course, we're also here to pay attention to your needs by providing a multitude of new cars from multiple brands at all our locations and auto service and repair to keep your vehicle going strong. Contact us to learn more today.
